Love Is In the Air
Since today is the Valentine's Day, I thought I spread a bit of love around my blog to my blogger friends, and the rest of the world. I am not sure if everyone celebrates the Valentine's Day, but I don't think you can reject a free love, lol. It does not have to be Valentine's Day to love someone extra special, it should be every day; however, that day is the day to emphasize how important love is. I know we are being bombarded with marketing schemes to buy diamonds for love ones (my birth stone is diamond), buy chocolates, buy flowers, and some go to extent to buy material gifts. It this all necessary? In my opinion not, but don't get me wrong if you like to celebrate this day and surprise your love one with special appreciation gift, yes by all means; however, my point is you cannot buy love from the store. So I like my Valentine's Day simple - I don't need extra gifts to love my husband extra special on that day, may be today I will blob to my husband, wow its been 15 years together, and soon 10 years being married. Sometimes I just look at him, and I feel like we just met, all brand new, yet inside it feels like we been together all our lives. So since we work together, this time hubby cannot hide any special gift for me. Well on the way home he is taking me to the local supermarket to purchase flowers, it will be fun - we both laughed at the idea - however, the biggest surprise is that from year to year he is so consistent no matter what, and never forgets, and that is what makes me happy! Happy Valentines Day to you. Let me close this post with this favorite quote of mine: 'My love for you is a journey; starting at forever, and ending at never.' - by Anonymous. BTW I love giving credits to the Anonymous individuals, lol.

Hi! You two sound very much like us except for two things. On Valentine's Day my lovely wife brought me flowers and we've been married for 29 years.
ReplyDeleteAll the very best to the both of you. Happy Valentines Day!
Take Care,
Peter
Hey Peter, very nice to have something in common yet in reverse. Wow, you been married for 29 years, I guess I have about 20 years to go. Your wife is nice. If comes to romantic stuff, I think my husband is the one, lol, I am just out there, but makes us both good that way.
ReplyDeleteBTW I tell you what happened when we went to get the flowers. The whole flower shop was full of man, I think there was only one lady buying one rose, lol. So we finally get to decide on the flowers, of course together and we get in line. Once we got to the counter, the lady said, wow beautiful color, every one is getting red ones, ours was peach color, they are beautiful in fact. So she continues, if she want flowers, she would want to get this color too. There was pause on my side, but then my big mouth finally opened and I said: All you have to do is just bring your husband with you like me. She laughed! But then I had to add, unfortunately he was not able to get rid of me today since we are coming from work. We had good laugh on the end.
Peter thank you so much for you wishes, and wishing you the same. Anna :)
Love you too Anna! most of all God loves us more than we know.

Channelofhealing, thank you for your always kind words, and God Bless, Anna :)
ReplyDelete...Just noticed story blob from your comment on mop. I was a bit surprised how much more emphasis was placed on Valentines Day over the pond etc than here in Britain (thought that may be partly subjective/age thing).
ReplyDeleteThere is commercialization here, but the shops are knee deep in Easter eggs more than roses... we celebrate things months in advance.
Like the idea of using one blog for photos and one for written posts -
mine are tending to run together!
you know Valentine's Day sound like the only day when we are spreading love. What about the rest of the year? Dont we forget about spreading love each and every day of ouк lives? :)
ReplyDeleteAnyways still the concept of this holiday is a beautiful one :)
Anna:
ReplyDeleteYou wrote a beautiful tribute to Valentine's Day. My wife and I have been together a long time, and like you, everyday when I awake, it all seems brand new. I don't know what the secret to a life-long loving relationship is, but I suspect it's something you feel deep down inside of yourself. If it's there, it's there. If it's not, it's not. It's probably just that simple. One thing I have learned in my long life, though, is that only people who are truly in love speak highly of their significant others to total strangers, as you did in your post.
Have a very nice day.
Hi! Anna. I think that in 20 years time I'll be pushing up daisies and you'll be entering your golden years.
ReplyDeleteTake Care,
Peter
P.S. Sorry. If you see a deleted comment, I made a blue!
What a lovely post. Don't you still feel like a kid when you you're around your hubby. :D That's true love when a marriage doesn't age.
ReplyDeleteHugs, JJ
Great post!

Hey Anna,
ReplyDeleteOh, what a cute post :D!
I don't celebrate Valentine's day in the commercial way, no! My valentine's is quite simple yet precious: we dance, we exchange love words and we talk a lot :D! Besides we have our own special day that we celebrate with great enthusiasm :D!
You have been with your hubby for 25 years? 10 of which actually married :D? That is soooo sweet :). I know perfectly well what you mean by "it feels like we been together all our lives", I feel exactly the same towards my boo :)!
It seems to me like you have a special husband: May God bless the two of you :D!
Cheers
I forgot to comment the quote: "My love for you is a journey; starting at forever, and ending at never" this should be the anthem of soul-mates, don't you think so? :D
ReplyDeleteCheers
Hi Julie, thank you for visiting the my blobbing side, lol. Sometimes I just need to blob, so I thought that having separate blogs kind of helps, and helps others who like the photos but don't want to hear me blobbing, lol, well its all free so why not. Here in Canada stores are filled with Valentines, but believe or not day after V day, shelves were filled with Easter stuff - we have some busy bees working nights I guess, lol. I don't like the commercialization too much, because I think some times the material things take away from the real thing, but then, I am also a bit cheap, lol. Julie thanks again for your comments. Anna :)
ReplyDeleteLena you absolutely right as always. I like to spread love all year long too, so for me it is just luxury of seeing lots of red on that day. But like you said the concept is beautiful if we don't fall under the spell of material things. Thanks again for your comment Lena. Anna :)
ReplyDeleteHey swubird, thank you so much for your kind comment. I think you are right if it's there, it's there. Mine with age seems to be even stronger, I guess now I put more emphasis on the relationship more than ever, as when I graduated from school, there are career goals, getting married and setting up new house, etc. but now I just want to be happy doesn't matter what I do and what I have, but I also want to by happy with my husband. Swubird, you are right there is true love in the air, lol. Thanks again for your nice comment, Anna :)
ReplyDeleteHi Peter, that was you spamming me, lol, I will remove totally, so no one will ever know, lol. You said: 'I think that in 20 years time I'll be pushing up daisies and you'll be entering your golden years.' - lol, but then my turn will arrive in another 20 years, love your expressions always, you so good at them. Anna :)
ReplyDeleteHi JJ, oh I feel like a kid all the time, sometimes I forget that I am pass mid thirties, lol. Well said JJ, I love it, and I must repeat it: It is a true love when a marriage doesn't age. Thanks again, Anna :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, thank you for your kind comment and visit. Thanks again, Anna :)
ReplyDeleteHi Max, thanks, now that I think about it - it is cute, lol. Wow your Valentine's is quite simple, and I can see that, I can see great life ahead of you. It is nice to have special days, and you probably will have more after you get married and there after. I have been with my hubby for 15 years (I think it was type on our side), it seems like long in numbers, but I still can remember the day I met him so clearly. You right about the quote, it should be the anthem of soul-mates. Thanks again for your always constructive and kind comments. Anna :)
