Wrought Iron Gates - What Is Wrong With This Picture?

Driving home on the Sunday afternoon. As we get closer to home, we can see more and more snow. I guess we are living in the area where there always will be more snow. Such remarkable change in weather can be seen in twenty minutes apart.

I sit on the back with Matthew and as he sleeps I observe outside the world I used vividly photograph before Matthew was born. Yes, we got second time in three weeks a two inches of snow. Beautiful view, and as sun emerged in the afternoon all the trees sparkled.
- 'Beautiful ', I said to my husband, 'just beautiful day to go outside and shoot and shoot'.

Suddenly a very nice big house comes to my view.
- 'Look what an amazing gate on your right' - I pointed out. A beautiful structure made of iron wrought rods, and concrete support, and located on the one end of the long curved paved driveway. Oh, and has security key pad.
- 'Okay, I don't get it, what is wrong with this picture? There is no fence'. I know, I know, its a decor thing lol.

  6. Hey Max thanks, and yes I do. Everytime I go through my photo gallery, I tell my husband we got go and travel again, even if it is within Canada, and Matthew is coming along. Time goes by really fast, I am sure it will happen soon.
Yeah that gate thing was funny. I kind of like writing our conversations, since now I am home and don't have much of social exposure, I see much more details around me or I just blob around.

Thanks Max for your vivid visits, and for that you get 1000 hugs and kisses from Matthew. Anna :)

  7. Hi Anna :D!

"Hey Max thanks, and yes I do."

You are most welcome, dear! I can imagine!

"Everytime I go through my photo gallery, I tell my husband we got go and travel again, even if it is within Canada, and Matthew is coming along. Time goes by really fast, I am sure it will happen soon."

Girl, my mom told me that things get easier as Matthew grows older...my mom always took us everywhere (she'd travel with us, stroll with us...it was fun!)...

"I kind of like writing our conversations, since now I am home and don't have much of social exposure, I see much more details around me or I just blob around."

I know what you mean...a friend of mine who had kids explained me the feeling. But still, I can't wait to be in your shoes :)!
And please do blob away...we love reading your stories/conversations :D!

"Thanks Max for your vivid visits, and for that you get 1000 hugs and kisses from Matthew. Anna :)"

  10. Thanks, Max, I cannot wait for the spring again, as I can take Matthew more out than now in the stormy weather. It will be fun strolling him around, as it is already. Hey once you will be in my shoes, girl, you will love it, and I know you will.
Thanks Max for your great contribution to my post...

  13. Perhaps the gate is simply a metaphor to society: we are all "locked up" until someone takes the time to realize that our gates have no fences--that we all just want to be loved.
Perhaps the idea is to get us to realize that the gates we set up for our own securities are simply aesthetic and are really just tools to weed out those who care truly enough to see the gate and go around it from those who care little enough to see the gate, become uninterested, and continue driving on. We are all gates without fences.
Perhaps it is just an uncompleted fence, but the lesson can be gleaned still, I believe.
Thanks for the comment on the Social Reformer.

  14. Adam this is very interesting twist to my post, I never really thought about it like that.

What you said, 'perhaps the gate is simply a metaphor to society: we are all "locked up" until someone takes the time to realize that our gates have no fences--that we all just want to be loved.' - this is not even perhaps, it may as well be true.

You said: 'Perhaps the idea is to get us to realize that the gates we set up for our own securities are simply aesthetic and are really just tools to weed out those who care truly enough to see the gate and go around it from those who care little enough to see the gate, become uninterested, and continue driving on.' - or may I add, for those who continue to hit a brick wall and never realize that they don't have to.

Adam, thank you so much for putting a meaning to my post, appreciated.

    Anna :)
